Our work has earned recognition on an international stage, with our first short film selected as a finalist at several film festivals, including the Biennale di Venezia in Italy. In 2025, we proudly collaborated with Voivod on their groundbreaking Symphonique performances, blending metal, orchestral grandeur, and AI-generated visuals in historic shows with two renowned orchestras: the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM) in January and the Orchestre symphonique de Québec (OSQ) in June.

In January, we were commissioned to produce immersive visuals for two standout pieces performed with the OSM. Building upon this foundation, in June, our role was expanded to create visuals for the entire OSQ performance. This ambitious production was enriched by collaborative efforts with Cirkus Animation and Syl Disjonk, resulting in a seamless visual experience that deeply resonated with Voivod's dystopian and futuristic themes.

Utilizing generative AI trained on Michel Langevin’s iconic artwork, we ensured the visual narrative authentically embodied Voivod’s unique artistic identity. The synergy of live orchestration, metal energy, and AI-driven creativity marked these shows as milestone events, illustrating the profound potential of technology-enhanced artistry.

Have you heard the legend of the Arachnix? Or the tale of the descent of Krayet?
Have you ever wandered among the Colossi of Tentaculon? Or gazed upon Xanthe's Sentinels?

These fantastical worlds, and countless others, began as intricate sketches drawn by Michel "Away" Langevin, drummer of the legendary metal band Voïvod. What started as simple lines on paper have now been brought to life through a daring experiment with digital tools, transforming his visionary art into immersive realities. Each image was reimagined in ways never before conceived, combining the timelessness of hand-drawn sketches with the limitless possibilities of modern technology.

This book is proudly published by Heavy Music Artwork, a UK-based publisher renowned for celebrating the visual dimension of music and culture. Known for curating exceptional works that bridge the gap between art and storytelling, they bring their expertise to this deluxe edition, ensuring every detail meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

This project aims to push the boundaries of what is possible in the digital age, forging new connections between tradition and innovation while paying homage to artistic creation's rich and storied legacy. It is not just a tribute to creativity but a celebration of the ever-evolving relationship between human imagination and the tools that bring these visions to life.

Altered Horizons also includes an intro by Michel “Away” Langevin and an explanation of the process behind the creation of the stories and illustrations.

In spring 2023, we collaborated with avant-garde metal band Imperial Triumphant to create a stunning one-hour visual backdrop for their performance at the renowned Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, Netherlands. Designed in a striking Art Deco style, the visuals paid homage to iconic New York architecture, perfectly complementing the band's chaotic yet sophisticated soundscapes.

This living backdrop drew inspiration from legendary structures such as the Chrysler Building, capturing the grandeur and dystopian energy of Imperial Triumphant’s music. The fusion of intricate, cinematic visuals with the band’s complex compositions created an immersive, multi-sensory experience that elevated the performance to a new level.

The performance, described as "insane" by festival coverage, stood out as one of Roadburn’s highlights, showcasing the synergy between music and visual art.
